Acceptable use policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
Most tools on this site (calculators and converters) run entirely on data you provide and are unrestricted. A smaller number of tools make outbound network requests on your behalf — the HTTP header checker, SSL checker and port checker. The rules below apply specifically to those.
Only use these tools against hosts, domains and services that you own, operate, or otherwise have explicit permission to test. Do not use this site to probe, scan or fingerprint infrastructure belonging to others without authorisation.
Specific restrictions we enforce technically
- The port checker tests exactly one host and one port per request — there is no range or bulk scanning, and there never will be.
- Port 25 (SMTP) cannot be checked, to prevent use for spam relay probing.
- The port checker and URL checker refuse requests to localhost, private, loopback, link-local, multicast, carrier-grade NAT and other reserved IP ranges.
- The URL checker only accepts http:// and https:// URLs on standard web ports, follows a maximum of three redirects, and revalidates every redirect target against the same restrictions.
- All network-facing tools are rate-limited per connecting IP address.
Prohibited uses
You must not use this site to:
- Scan, probe or attack infrastructure you do not own or have permission to test.
- Attempt to circumvent the technical restrictions described above (for example, by automating repeated requests to work around rate limits or blocked ranges).
- Use the tools as part of a denial-of-service attack, spam campaign, or other abusive automated activity.
- Submit unlawful content through any input field.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to further restrict, rate-limit or block access for any use that appears abusive, automated at scale, or contrary to this policy, without prior notice.
